Heewon received his PhD from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he studied targeted drug and gene delivery. In the Brenner Lab, he develops lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems for alternative administration routes beyond intravenous delivery, including intramuscular and oral delivery, with the goal of expanding the therapeutic reach of nucleic acid medicines.
