This week our Postdoc Jia Nong got the news that she will be receiving an AHA Postdoctoral Fellowship! Heart disease is a terminal ailment that research keeps trying to eliminate. People who receive this Postdoctoral Fellowship are passionate about this cause and as Jia is working on the development of targeted nanomedicine for the treatment of acute illness, and to understand the interaction of nanocarriers with white blood cells to facilitate the engineering and applications of the nanomedicine, she will be a star contributor to this cause as well!
